SECOND OPINIONS

Dr. Portland provides evaluation and treatment for shoulder and knee conditions. The one exception is difficulties pertaining to a total joint replacement of the knee. Please ensure you have all radiographic studies with you. Reports and office notes are helpful as well.

The purpose of a second opinion is to give an independent examination and perspective on your diagnosis and treatment plan. Following your evaluation, Dr. Portland will send you, your orthopaedic surgeon, and your internist a copy of his note. You should return to your orthopaedic surgeon for care following the opinion. If for some reason you wish to transfer care, please alert both Dr. Portland and your orthopaedic surgeon to your desire.
